MOck bomb
A tester in Tampa Florida got onto a plan with a mock bomb. This man name is unknown so they call him Jason. Jason looks like a middle aged man that is just traveling to see some sites. This man is really conducting a test to see how proffiencent the airport security checking. The airport that the mock test was did on failed he was not caught and he boarder the aircraft the same bombs that the Muslims used during 9/11. The employ that did the search on Jason fired a day ago for not doing a through search.
I think that this is scary because that means that the airport security was not the strong and they need to cracken down on the security during the checks for weapons, and drugs.
today i read about a suspected gang slaying in guyana. the news said it might be a very violent gang member named Rondell Rawlins. Police say he's doing it because, Rawlins accused security forces of kiddnaping his 18 yr. old girlfriend. he also said he was going to do attacks until his girlfriend was found.
Today I read about Democrat John Edwards is exiting the presidential race Wednesday, ending a scrappy underdog bid in which he steered his rivals toward progressive ideals while grappling with family hardship that roused voters' sympathies, The Associated Press has learned. The two-time White House candidate notified a close circle of senior advisers that he planned to make the announcement at a 1 p.m. EST event in New Orleans that had been billed as a speech on poverty, according to two aides. The decision came after Edwards lost the four states to hold nominating contests so far to rivals who stole the spotlight from the beginning – Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama.
The former North Carolina senator will not immediately endorse either candidate in what is now a two-person race for the Democratic nomination, said one adviser, who spoke on condition of anonymity in advance of the announcement. Both candidates would welcome Edwards' backing and the support of the 56 delegates he had collected. This is interesting because its dealing with today's issues and its my future.
Today in the union tribune, I read that LaDanian Tomlinson, Philip rivers, and shawne Merriman plus erstwhile san Diegans drew brees and Reggie bush will part of the next wave of American football to infiltrate Europe. The chargers will play the new Orleans saints in London on oct 26 sources confirmed yesterday. The game, just the NFL’s second regular-season contest to be played outside north American, will most likely be at Wembley stadium. The saints, with former chargers quarterback drew brees and bush, a san Diego native, will be the home team. That means the chargers do not have to give up the game at Qualcomm stadium. It will be the first time brees has played against the chargers since he left after the 2005 season. Chargers president dean spanos would not confirm the chargers participation but said “we want to go. I’m not cautiously optimistic.” NFL’s spokesman Greg Aiello would only say that the chargers were among the teams being considered for the game. Commissioner Roger goodell is not expected to announce the charger saints game until the super bowl media conference on Friday.
Article: Why should it matter if Obama were a Muslim?
Summary: Barack Obama is not a Muslim. He told the press him self that he wasn't Muslim. But if he was a Muslim why should it matter. If Obama was a Muslim he would still be the same charisma and the same inspirational idealism. He isn't a crazy Muslim that is prone to strapping bombs to his chest in hopes to meet virgins in heaven. A lot of people believe that Barack Obama is actually a Muslim and is just hiding it. Obama told the press that he is actually christian and is a victim of internet rumor.
Reflections: If Obama was a Muslim it shouldn't matter because he is still the same person. As long as he does have ideas about blowing things up then it shouldn't matter. People need to stop spreading rumors because if Obama claims that he is a Christian then they shouldn't be telling lies.
Interesting Fact: Obama is christian.
- The San Diego Union Tribune
- Just make booze permanent at beach
- The article that i read today was about the booze ban on SD beaches. the beach booze ban has been in effect for 12 days now, and you can already sense a change in the air. for one thing, no more riots on the beach. not even small catered ones. the rowdiest behavior i saw was a kid splashing in a rain puddle. no telling how much sugar was in him, but his blood alcohol was below the line. Gerry Braun said its time to declare victory and make the booze ban permanent. He said that it doesn’t really matter if its 12 days or 12 months. One of the most one of the most influential boozers has been police chief William Lansdowne. In his view if folks are going to get drunk, he would rather have them do it in a place where: a) there are no buildings to burn, b) there are no cars to overturn, c) its hard to run, d) his officers have wide latitude to search and seize.
- I think that this is an interesting article. I guess I agree with Gerry because this does not harm anyone in any way. It only improves our society and makes it safer for us.
- One interesting thing that I learned is that we have only had only had 15 with the booze ban.
cell phones
I read something interesting today in the newspaper. The article I read was about all the technological advances in the past few years and how we as America has adapted to these changes. Some analysts has discovered that this nation is moving forward at an alarming speed and that it is adapting well to technologic changes. America as a whole is not only adapting it is actually embracing and changing their lives to revolve around these new changes. More and more Americans are replacing their money and changing to cashless purchases and they are also replacing their personal computers for the more efficient cell phones that come equipped with everything from cameras to internet connections. The analysis has proven that cell phones are becoming almost a necessity here in America. More and more people are using their cell phones to complete everyday tasks. The devices are becoming so popular that companies have already started to develop software to make them more useful in every day life. For example, companies are trying to implement a chip that would let your cell phone be like a credit card and a key at the same time, all you had to do if you wanted to either buy something or unlock your car would be to swipe the cell phone in front of the sensors and it would automatically buy you something or open your car. It all seems very cool, but, I also think that it will also be easier to steal your personal information. So, I think that as long as they make it safe it will be o.k.
♥ Police Officer Shot and Killed ♥
♥ The article I read about this morning was about a police woman who was shot to death yesterday. The woman who’s name was Nicole Cotton of 24 years of age, was shot and killed by her own gun. She was a police officer of New Orleans. Ever since the hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans their had not been any murders but just then yesterday a man who was described like a man suspected of a sexual assault shot her. She notice the man and decided to pull him over and question him. Just when she tried to arrest him he started wrestling with the officer and grabbed her baton and started beating her in the head and arms a couple of times. He then tore her gun off from her holster and shot her once in the head and walked away. After he shot her in the head and started walking away he came back and shot her three more times.
♥ My Reflection ♥
♥ I think that what happened to this officer is really sad. Who could of thought that just questioning someone you were going to end up dead by the end of the conversation. I hope this man gets what he deserves in jail.
♥ Interesting Fact ♥
♥ An interesting fact that I read in this article was that a surveillance camera captured the killing.
“Home Prices Tumble”
►San Diego Country’s declining housing market marked another milestone last month, when median price 15 percent from their all-time peak in 2005, a quicker and bigger drop than in the recessionary early 1990s, DataQuick information System reported yesterday. By comparison, the downturn from 1992 to 1996 took place against the drop of a sharp economic decline in San Diego Country that send the median housing price down 11.8 percent, from &174,500 in June 1990to $154,000 in November 1996. From then, local housing prices began their historic run-up until reaching a record of $517,500 in November 2005. Last month’s overall median stood at $440,000 a $200,000 drop from October and $47,000 less than a year earlier.
►I agree with this because if it keeps decreasing we will be able to buy a house.
►I also agree because a lot of people need houses and they are paying rent.
►In the other hand I think its not fair for the people that own the houses that the value keep dropping.
►I think the most interesting fact its that the houses are dropping in price.
Video-
Today I have watched a short video about Congo, a country in Africa. They are very brutal there. I heard the story about a women, it is a very sad story. She was raped by several men in front of her brother. Then they asked her brother to rape her, her brother said that he couldn’t do that. They killed him in front of her because he would not do it. They kept here there for about 8 months. Everyday they would rape her. Finally she could escape and left to her home. She thought that her daughters were not going to be alive. When she got there they were alive but her husband was not there anymore. A doctor said that they man leave because they feel ashamed that they could not take care of their family. The lady was really lucky to be alive. She had her baby and called her Lucky. The women still have hope. I think that this is a very sad story because all of this women live with fear and hope at the same time.
