Shooting in Los Angeles
Two teenagers tortured and killed a 18 year old girl. The 18 year old girl just came home from the hospital she had a brain tumor and she had just got done with surgery. The teens were found in a nearby woods and arrested by the police in the AREA. Both of the teens are going to get tried as adults. There was a Girl and a guy who committed this wicked acts. To differentiate between these 2 is that one was the master mind behind these and the other was just the follower. The teens ignored the pleas of the disabled woman as they cut her hair and made her walk barefoot in the snow. The mother realized that the house was ransacked and her daughter was injured.
After reading this story I felt bad for the girl who got tortured. To CLARIFY the disabled girls statement was that they came in a she sad that they hit here tied her up cut her hair and made her walk in the snow.
CHARTER SCHOOL TO GET ITS OWN PLACE...
The article I read today was about how Charter schools get their own space. There was charter located in Chula Vista sharing a room of only big enough to fit 9th graders in. The room was shared with Chula vista high tech high. Many students complained about how crowed they felt. The STRATEGY the schools will use is to move the charter to a bigger spot where they can fit 9th, 10h and 11th graders. Now that the kids are moving into a more comfortable AREA they can feel better. The new opening of the school will be 11 million$ and 50,000 square feet. Many kids and teachers are fully satisfied with their space.
Reflection- I think that it is really good that they are able to get a bigger space. I know how it feels to try to work in crowded room with a lot of people. I also think that it is good that officials agreed and didn’t have a problem with it.
Interesting fact- An interesting fact about this article is that the amount of INCOME that was spent was 11 million dollars.

All the rooms in the 12 story $85 million building would be reserved as perks for the casino’s biggest gamblers. Giving away hotel rooms to high rollers is an old idea, but experts couldn’t think of another hotel has taken it as far valley view casino is proposing. Its pretty unique, said David Schwartz, director of the center for gaming research at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. But it makes sense for tribally owned valley view casino, which doesn’t have room for a large resort, he said. Casino hotels in Las Vegas, which generally have about 3,000 rooms, typically give away, or comp, about 450 of them, so a smaller casino such as valley view can probably fill its boutique hotel entirely with gamblers. They’d be more profitable if they could get people to spend the night, he said. Driving around those roads isn’t necessarily the thing you’d want to do after midnight. casino’s give away rooms to encourage people to stay longer because they expect them to gamble more. And without a big hotel, valley view can give away all its rooms, said Joe Navarro, head of the 292-member san Pasqual tribe’s casino business arm. Its just the most efficient way to do business because, at the end of the day, we’re a casino that has a hotel, not a hotel with a casino.

Article: Georgia District To Make Every School Single-Sex
Summary: This morning’s blog is based on the Georgia district’s plan to make classrooms single sex. Decades after segregating schools by race, the south has decided to divide schools by sex. Green County is set to become the first school district in the Union State to go entirely single-sex. This will mean that boys and girls will be in separate classrooms. They say the decision was made due to a desperation over the years of poor test scores, soaring drop out rates, and high number of teenage pregnancies. Separating the students will allow teachers to tailor their lessons to the students’ needs. Also, boys will not have as much because they will no longer be trying to impress the girls. The girls in class will most likely speak up more because they will not have to worry about looking smart in front of the boys. Federal law allows single-sex classrooms or schools, but parents must also have the option of publicly funded coeducation for their children, says the United States Education Department spokesman.
Reflection: I think that this will definitely change a lot of things in the South but I hope it’s all for the better. I think that this decision will very much help bring up poor test scores. But as for drop out rates and pregnancies, I’m not sure. I do think that they’re on the right track though.

The Greensboro, Georgia school system has made a decision that has left many parents either thrilled or enraged. The school system has just recently accepted changing all the schools in that county to be single sexed. Elementary schools will have different classrooms for boy and girls. While grades seven through twelve will have different schools for boys and girls. The whole idea CONSISTS on the fact that studies have shown that when boys and girls are in separate classrooms they learn better. The studies also show that the students are more FOCUSED on learning instead of impressing the opposite gender. Yet the interesting thing is that most of the residents in the area are the black working class, and according to some research the results show that this move has come out of desperation over years of poor test scores, soaring dropout rates and high numbers of teenage pregnancies. So in order to have students behave in an APPROPRIATE manner they need to be separated. Funny thing is parents have the right under Federal law to send their children to publicly funded co-educational schools. If all the schools are being turned into single gender then parents don’t have right to choose. Even heavy advocates of single sex classrooms are calling the change illegal. Everyone has the right to choose their education, it is up to the student and the parent to choose if they want or don’t want single gender schooling.

The teenagers were only 14 and 15 when the chula vista police searched his home they found videos on how to become a pimp. Daris hilton is facing 77 years and 4 months to life. The AFFECT was very good because how long he is facing in prison. The girls should MAINTAIN where they walk and to run They did a SURVEY and said to put him for life.
reflection: is that they should put him to life prison.

The In today’s Union Tribune I read that there was a young mother that died for saving her son. Ms.Deysi Araux the area that she lived on was Logan Ave in Southeastern San Diego in some complex. Ms.Araux was only 21 with 2 sons and she had a husband that loved her. The lady that run her over was a lady by the name of Ms.Manzano.On the text that I read today it shows me how much a mother would do for their own children to survive death of a mother.Yesterday on Feb. 27,2008 the love ones that she left behind made a decision to disconnect her from life support. The region that she lives in and her close love ones are pretty much sad about this. The police is on investigation with what happen and Ms.Manzano is cooperative with the investigation. She claims that she was aware that she didn’t have no brakes but she was trying to stop. In my opinion I think that if you know you don’t have brakes or your brakes need to be fix you shouldn’t be driving the car.Theres the bus and if not so we could walk.Thats how we could save somebody’s life thats how I feel about this article. The main fact that I learned today was to not jump in a car If I know I need my brakes fixed.

The want to DIFFERENTIATE between boys trying to impress girls and girls trying to impress boys. The board has to CLARIFY that they could focus more on their education, research shows that when boys and girls are separated, each group performs better in school. Some teachers and parents in the AREA say that the board has gone to far. I think this is something different but I don’t think the students are happy with that. One interesting fact that I learned was that schools in san Diego have experimented single gender classrooms.
♥ The article I read about this morning was about a woman that died trying to save her child’s life. In a near by AREA to where we are, 21 year old Deysi Araux got ran over by a neighbor. She was walking to her car with her 2 year old son, Steven Anaya. When Wendy Manzano was trying to pull the brakes on her car, she turned into the parking lot where Deysi and her son were walking and ran them over. Deysi tried to push little Steven out of the way when the car was coming towards them. the car still hit him but it killed her. It dragged her a couple of feet away and then she fell of the hood but the car kept going it destroyed another property as well. Wendy knew that the brakes of her car didn’t work to well.
♥ I think that this is very sad. She now rests in peace and she left behind 2 children and a husband who loved her a lot. I hope the girl who did this to my family pays.
♥ An interesting fact that I read about this morning was that even though Deysi had already saved her babies life she also donated her organs which she will be saving more lives with that too.
Union Tribune: Dog bite victim sues.
Today I have read an article on a woman that was attacked by a dog. There are a lot of dogs that are dangerous pets, but just because you think that the animal is dangerous doesn’t necessarily mean that the police will do something about it. They try to protect the pet owners right and also the publics rights. On November 2006 Nancy Matthews was attacked by two boxers that had already bitten two other people in that neighborhood. She was with her 2 young sons and they watched as the dogs thru their mom to the ground and were tearing at her scalp arms and legs. The woman ended up with blood transfusions, scars and indentation in her arm and leg where she had lost tissue. She says the she can no longer be a veterinarian because she has a flashback. This is the first dog owner that did jail time. Matthews is suing Animal Services alleging that the Department failed to investigate previous bites by the dogs and take steps to protects the public. I think that they should more those attacks. I also think that they should fine people who let their dogs around and don’t take care of them because if this lady got hurt that bad imagine how much it could have hurt a child. I am scared for my little nieces and nephews because you see dogs all by themselves all over the place and you never know if they are dangerous.
Union Tribune: Choking accusations bogus, suspended soccer coach says.
Today I have read an article on a Coach that apparently choked a minor. San Ysidro High School’s suspended soccer coach said that he was falsely accused of choking an Otay Ranch High player during a game last week. Eduardo Jimenez said that any contact with the player was the result of a split second decision to prevent a fight. Jimenez was taken off the filed at Otay Ranch High in handcuffs Friday and held in jail until Tuesday. He was released without being charged. Chula Vista Police are still investigating the incident. It all started because a player from Otay Ranch kicked two of his players and they were going to start fighting. He got in between them to avoid the fight. He said that he did not choke, push or grab the student. A student said that his coach did not do anything, he only put his hand on the boys chest to keep them apart. Well I think that they should let this incident go because it is ridiculous. I think that even if he had been choking the boy he deserved it for messing around and starting some drama.
