Shot in da head
Three men were shot today after a argument over the super bowl. Some onlookers were watching as these three men were arguing after one of the suspects left. The other suspects seemed to have dropped it. The other man came back and in a couple of hours the three men were dead. The police arrived to the scene with in a hot minute. No arrest have been made yet. Two men were shot at a bar the threed man was shot outside of the bar.
I think that the men were probably fighting over who would win the super bowl and they realized that it was anybody's game.
Today I read that in WASHINGTON – John McCain earned himself a super Wednesday, a day to savor coast-to-coast primary victories that ratified him as the Republican front-runner, while Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama dug in after a night of divided spoils in a Democratic presidential contest that could stretch to the spring.
McCain, whose campaign once verged on collapse, piled up more delegates than his two rivals combined, pushing over the halfway mark on what's needed to clinch the nomination. His victories stretched from New York to California, the biggest prize. Still, Mitt Romney in the West and Mike Huckabee in the South proved to be go-to candidates for conservatives, and they vowed to press forward.
“President Presents $3 Trillion Budget”
►The article that I read today in the newspaper it was about the president send a budget to the congress so it would increase military spending and curb the growth of Medicare and Medicaid but raise the federal deficit by $250 billion. Also what I read on the newspapers was that Bush used the 2009 budget, his last before leaving the office. While Bush had hoped to preside over a shrinking of the federal deficit in his final year in office, the budget projects that the deficit, which dropped substantially from 2004 to 2007.
►I agree because the president is trying helping the society.
►I also agree because the president its not trying to destroy the society.
►In the other hand I don’t agree because they are getting the money from us.
►I think the most interesting fact its that bush its doing all thins in his last year of being in the “office”.
Today in the union tribune, I read that California voters will have the same opportunity today to make a difference in the presidential nominating process for the first time in decades and a record number of them are expected to take advantage of that. An analysis by the field poll projects that a record 8.9 million Californians will vote in today’s primary election. That represents 56.6 percent of the states registered voters and would reverse the steady decline in voter turnout in primary election in California. That 8.9 million is almost what we had in the last general election, field poll director mark DiCamillo said. This is a huge turnout for a primary – 1 million more than any previous primary. Traditionally California has held its presidential primary in March or June, after the nominees have all been but determined.
Researchers believe they have found a link between the advancement in technology and the lack of interest in the natural world. They believe that if people keep getting involved with technology and they immerse themselves the technological world then they loose interest in the conservation of the world and other natural places. With all this new technologies that have been appearing lately and all this distractions that humans face there has been a decline in visits to natural recreational parks and camping sites. It is crucial for people to have an interest in the natural world for the purpose of conservation. If people don’t care about were they live then how will they will be able to protect their environment. Some ecologists say that if people’s value of the environment declines then there is no real hope for the conservation of biodiversity. They link the decline in interest to the increase in technological advances because since the late 80’s, the era of technology advances, people’s interest for all things natural has been decreasing. I believe that it is really sad that people don’t care about the places they live in. Maybe their lack of interest will not bear fruit during their lifetime, but, what about their children’s life?

Article; “Region Update”
Summary; This morning’s blog is based on the Region Update article I read inside the newspaper. The article I chose to read about was, “Court Watch,” because it just sounded interesting. The article was about a felon who was sent to prison for attempted rape in 2005. This felon has already been convicted twice and he was sentenced again Monday to nine years and four months in prison. He was charged with trying to rape a woman outside a liquor store in Spring Valley in December of 2005. His was is Muhammad Jameel Hassan and he is twenty-six years old. He was pleading with the Superior Court trying to get put on probation so that he could continue to provide for his family. He was also convicted in August of assault with intent to commit a felony, sexual battery, and false imprisonment. He has also gotten in trouble for grand theft auto so when it came down to deciding the punishment, the judge didn’t think twice.
Reflection; I cannot stand reading about perverts who feel they have the right to force anything on anyone. I’m glad he got the time he got because he deserves it.
Interesting Fact; The case was unsolved until April 1006, when DNA samples taken from the woman were matched to Hassan’s DNA through a state databank.
♥ The article I read about this morning was about a man who was sent to prison. A man who was convicted twice got sentenced yesterday. He was being accused of trying to rape a woman outside of a liquor store. The liquor store was located in spring valley and the incident happened in December of 2005. The man was identified as Muhammad Jameel Hassan of 26 years of age. The man asked the judge to let him go free but with probation so that he could go out there and provide for his family. The judge was nice enough to let him go but then in August of I believe 2006 he was convicted of assault with intent of battery and false imprisonment. The convictions that Hassan made were to much for him to b out in the streets just on probation so the judge locked him up.
♥ I think that men like him do not deserve to be out in the streets and just on probation. This man especially sounds like he’s just out in the streets doing nothing but causing trouble. I hope that man gets what he deserves and they don’t let him out for a long time.
♥ An interesting fact that I read in this article was that the woman that Hassan was trying to rape was only 23 years old.
Union Tribune: Extraordinary heroism.
Today I have read an article on how a very young and outstanding man risked his life to save many of his fellow marines. Marine Cpl. Sean Strokes was awarded a silver star for extraordinary heroism in the face of extreme danger. But the sad part about this is that he was not there to receive it. Stokes was killed last summer during his third tour of duty in Iraq. He was killed two weeks after learning he would receive the medal. He would have been twenty four today. It appears that he is the lowest ranking Marine since Vietnam War to receive such a military honor. He was a private when he helped several of his Marine friends. They said he dodged an automatic gunfire to kill several insurgents and rushed to the aid of several platoon mates even though he had been severely wounded by a hand grenade. Many people talk about how great this man was, how nice he was to everyone. His parents did not know that he was out in combat. He had told them he was going over there for something else not on a war zone. The first time his father found out he was in a war zone was when Marines knocked on his door to tell him Sean was gone. I think that this is a very sad story. This great men risked his life for so many people. This is the type of people our country needs to stay strong.
