Article; “Saving Their Skins”
Summary; This morning I read an article about tattoos nowadays compared to before. The writer’s METHOD of writing the article, was by focusing on former Navy men who are now in their late 60’s. Apparently, tattoos were extremely popular among Navy men about 50 years ago. The art of tattoos has come a long way since then. Before, these men admit that getting even a little tattoo of a bird was a major thing, it made them feel manly. The men who were interviewed say that now you can barely see their tattoos and it doesn’t OCCUR to people that the same thing will happen to them in time. But even when people know this, they PROCEED to get tattooed. The trend is no longer for people to get something simple tatted, people are now getting big and colorful tattoos. The reasons why people are saying they get tatted is because they thought it was pretty, out of the ordinary, or because they feel it connected them to their generation or culture. No one can argue with those reasons. (:
Reflection; I thought this article was extremely boring but oh well. I do agree with what the men said, people are going far with tattoos nowadays.
Interesting Fact; The body will sag one day, and so will the art.
O.J. Simpson
O.J. Simpson's trial was delayed until Sept. 8, 2008. The charges going against him is kidnapping and a robbery. His co defendant emerged from a meeting agreeing to give Mr. Simpson more time to prepare for court. The judge through out some of the charges that was against him but he still has evidence that can bring some of the charges back. They will PROCEED to try and fined Mr. Simpson guilty in September 8, 2008. This METHOD that Glass is taking towards this case is sure to find some evidence against Mr. Simpson. The quail that OCCURRED between O.J and his friend was over some of Simpson's stuff like his heismen trophy and he stole the heismen back from the person that he sold to. The judge says that it will be easy to find Simpson's guilty this time there is no such as he will get off this time.
I feel that Simpson's is to old to be playing these childish games trying to steal from somebody he just needs to let it go and except that he is off older age and give his stuff away. This whole situation could have been avoid by skipping all of these type of stuff. Everybody just got over the fact that he murdered his wife. If that was me I would kept my name out the paper and would not have been so quick to put my name in the papers every again unless it was a good thing.
The article I ready today is about a 16 year old pregnant girl was abducted from her moms parking lot and held at knife point. It OCCURRED She was abducted by her former boyfriend Carlos Antonio who is 20 years old. She is only 4 months pregnant she is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall 150 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is wearing a black shirt, beige pants and black sandals. Her former boyfriend is driving a teal Hyundai accent with California license plate 4epa103 this car probably is PROCEEDING towards Mexico the police officials are not positive. The car has a San Diego sticker in the rear window, a loud exhaust and a missing hubcap. There may be a white dog in the car. If you have anyone with information call Chula Vista police at (619) 691-5151.
I think that he should bring her back because she is 4 months pregnant and she had a family that loves her and wants her back home safe and sound.
The police should have found Carlos already because how many police authorities are out there.
I think that Carlos found a METHOD and is hiding out somewhere.
Today in the union tribune, I read that for some Bob Saget will always be Mr. Tanner, clean living single dad to three daughters, the sweet star of TV’s Full House, a hit sitcom that ran for seasons beginning in the late 80s. If you’ve seen his recent HBO special that aint right- good guy gone bad that’s still playing on the network, or his family telling of a famous show business joke in the aristocrats, you know this guy is comfortable with blue material and scurrilous language. Say’s he, on the HBO special, I do children's parties if you ever need me.
“Legislation to restrict CIA tactics gets veto”
►I read today in the newspaper that the president bush cemented his legacy of PROCEEDING to fight for strong executive power yesterday, using his veto to half a congressional effort to limit the CIA’s latitude to subject terrorism suspects to harsh interrogation techniques. Also bush vetoed a bill that would have explicitly prohibited the agency from using interrogation METHODS such as waterboarding.
►I agree because we cant choose what they deserve and when it does OCCUR.

HOME SCHOOLING RULINGS CAN AFFECT THOUSANDS...
The article i read today was about how homeschooling affecting other students can OCCUR. In the county there are about 4,000 kids being homeschooled. Some officials say that having a parent home school a kid is an unfair way to teach a kid. Although results do show that many kids are doing well on their standardized test. This article also talked about how many parents are going to have to make some tough decisions. Parents are going to have to make tough decision by deciding whether they want to teach there kids a whole year of home school. If a kid is going to be home school then the rules are going to be even more strict then a kid in a regular high school. Courts are still deciding whether they should PROCEED with the METHOD of allowing so many homeschooled kids.
Reflection- I think homeschooling is a good idea for some kids. I think it can be good because some kids don’t work well around others. I also think if anyone can teach a kid something good, it will be taught from there parents.
Interesting Fact- An interesting fact about this article is that 4,00 kids in the county are already enrolled in home school.
Article: Baseball tries to hit one over the Great Wall
Summary: The San Diego Padres and the Los Angles Dodgers will travel to Beijing on Tuesday. They will tour the Great Wall. There they will PROCEED to make appearances at shopping centers, they will also have youth clinics and news conferences. They will have 2 exhibition games at the 12,000 seat Wukesong Baseball Field. Which the 2008 Olympic Baseball Tournament will also OCCUR there in August. After the Olympics they have told us that they will bulldoze the stadium and make room for a hotel or high-rise apartments.
Reflection: The METHOD they are using is unreasonable. They are tearing down a stadium to but in a hotel. I think they should just keep the stadium and hold more events like these.
Interesting Fact: These are the first major league games in China.
Parents of dead baby are arrested for the possibility that they might be responsible for his death. The incident OCCURRED when the family was visiting relatives in San Diego. The baby suffered from reflux and colic. Since the parents wanted to relieve his incommodity and pain decided to medicate the child with certain over the counter drugs that are very common. Like Benadryl for the child’s cold, Zantac for the child’s reflux and Unisom to help the child sleep. All of these drugs sound like they are too harsh for an infants stomach to process but the parents gave the baby only very small amounts diluted in water and they always fed him afterwards. It seems like the parents knew that the medicine was not all that good for the baby since they only gave him small amounts. But it also seems like the parents wanted to help their child and they plead that all they wanted to do was to make their child feel better. The METHOD in which they medicated their child was very conscious of the baby’s age and of the baby’s health. If the FDA did not put warnings about its medication until later after this case then why should officials PROCEED with this irrational case and charge the parents with murder?
I read today that some parents named by Thomas and Lorrie Boettger gave some over the counter mediation to their son Thomas Jr. The parents new but they didn’t pay much attention to giving medication to their son . The baby died on Oct 26,2006 but 4 days before that the parents gave the baby Benadryl and Zantac. They gave like up to 2 tablets of Benadryl a day and 6 of Zantac . The parents were arrested In a mall in Seattle and were brought back to San Diego and are held in Vista County Jail waiting for trail on June 25 .2008. The D.A is trying to give them 2nd degree murder for the death of their son.
Its illegal to give adults medication to a children younger than 6 years old . The parents say that they didn’t know what that medicine was going to do to their children and that it was bad what they did but they didn’t do it to harm their kid. In my opinion i think that some parents are bad and some aren’t. I also think that they didn’t do it to hurt their baby they just wanted to help him out. I'm aware that we shouldn’t give over the counter medication to children but if a doctor said it was okay to give my kid Benadryl than I will do so. Out of this article I learned that we as parents should double check with a doctor to see what the kids need for them to feel loved and okay.
In the article I read to day something sad had to OCCUR, after exhausting traditional home remedies to soothe their colicky baby, a Washington state couple tried what they thought as the next best thing: over-the-counter drugs. Thomas and Lorrie Boettger now face murder and child abuse charges stemming from the death of their son during a visit to San Diego in October 2006.th cops had to PRCEED and arrest them. Medical experts say the 6-month-old baby, Thomas II, died of acute intoxication from an antihistamine and a sleeping aid. The Boettgers’ case is an eye opener to parents across the country who are pondering new U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidelines about the use on non prescription medications in infants and children. I think people should come up with different METHODS in treating baby sicknesses. This is crazy everything is becoming more dangerous for infants and children. Nothing is safe everything is harmful even breathing.
