“Bush stays the course; war enters sixth year”
►What I read today on the newspaper was that the President Bush CONDUCTED the fifth anniversary of the start of the ADMINISTRATION of war in Iraq yesterday to make the case for persevering in a conflict that could have many more anniversaries. Democrats accused him of lacking a strategy to win and withdraw. Also Bush, speaking in front of troops, officers and defense officials at the pentagon, said the costs of the war, in lives and money, had been higher and longer-lasting that he had anticipated. But he remained unwavering in his insistence that the invasion of Iraq, which began in March 2003, had made the world better and the United States safer.
►I agree because they said that they are making USA safer.
►In the other hand I don’t agree because it is a waste of the ELEMENTS money and time.
►I also don’t agree because they are also wasting human lives.
►I think the most interesting fact is that they have years with this war and they haven’t done nothing.
Rape
New Rochelle Sgt. David Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to forcible rape, agreed to an order of protection keeping him away from the teenager and posted $25,000 bail. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to 25 years in prison. Rodriguez did not speak after the arraignment, but his attorney Stephen Worth said the charge was false and the investigation was slipshod. He said the girl "has a number of motives to make up a false allegation," but he did not elaborate. The sergeant's wife, Darlene Rodriguez, anchorwoman of WNBC-TV's "Today in New York," was in tears outside the courtroom before the arraignment. She left the courthouse dry-eyed with her husband and said, "I'm here to support my husband. I believe in him. I love him. He's innocent 100 percent." Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll said the investigation was thorough. "We took our time," he said. "We didn't jump to any conclusions. "Carroll had announced the rape allegation, without naming David Rodriguez, more than a month ago and suspended him with pay. Rodriguez, 36, of Croton-on-Hudson, was suspended without pay Wednesday.
I feel that if they would have CONDUCTED a better interview they would found more evidence to convict him. The ADMINSTRERED some help for the cast men but other than that he got off. The ELEMENT that the police officer was in was not that good.
Today in the union tribune, I read that president bush used the fifth anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq yesterday to make the case of preserving in a conflict that could have many more anniversaries. Democrats accused him of lacking a strategy to win and withdraw. Bush, speaking in front of troops, officers and defense officials at the pentagon, said the costs of the war, in lives and money, had been higher and longer-lasting than he had anticipated. But he remained unwavering in his insistence that the invasion of Iraq, which began in March 2003, had made the world better and the united states safer. Five years into the battle, there is an understandable debate over whether the war was worth fighting, whether the fight was worth winning, and whether we can win it. Removing Saddam Hussein from power was the right decision, and this is a fight America can and must win, bush said. The anniversary starkly illustrated the divine between bush and democrats who control congress- and between the republican presidential candidate, Sen. John McCain, and the two senators seeking the democratic nomination, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. At a community college in Fayetteville, a military town in north Carolina, Obama noted the war in Iraq has lasted longer than the civil war, world war one and world war two, although it has been fought on-a-far-lower scale than these conflicts

Article; “TV Anchor’s Husband Charged With Rape”
Summary; This morning's blog is based on a rape charge on a police officer. This all took place in Rochelle, New York where a seventeen year old girl is claiming that she was raped by Sgt. David Rodriguez. She claims that Officer Rodriguez raped her the day after him and another officer came to arrest her 35 year-old boyfriend. But so far, he is only under custody until court. They is not any evidence to prove her story correct. Sgt. Rodriguez has pleaded not guilty. His wife, Darlene Rodriguez, is supporting him 100% and says that he completely innocent.
Reflection; I doubt that the young girl is telling the truth, sounds like she just wants to get revenge. She’s still stuck on the fact that they arrested her boyfriend. Any girl who is 17 years-old would not date a 35 year-old unless she was dumb.
Interesting Fact; Sgt. Rodriguez’s bail is set to $25,000 as of today.
I read today in the news paper that the San Diego U.S Immigration and Customs and Enforcement Correctional Facility is trying to build a new mega prison for the immigrants. They could only fit up to 700 inmates in there as of right now, they use to be able to fit up to 1,000 until they got sued by the “ACLU” which stands for American Civil Liberties Union. They have people *administering* the plan so they could pass it on to the Otay Meza Council. They also want to accomplish this goal because it benefits them. In 2008 they have up to 30.000 inmates In custody all over in the U.S. The lease with what the county had opened the jail is now expiring in 2015. They *conduct* this by preparing how would they even work this out with the city council and is it going to work out?.
Many people say that oh no not in my back yard but its going to happen . I think that they should built a mega prison but they should take some time thinking about how are is this not going to work out with like the other one . That’s my opinion on what I think about this the *element* that they have to choose would be to responsible enough to not make a mistake like this other jail that they built.
