Today in the union tribune, I read that how you can review for a test with just an iPod. Mt. Carmel high school senior Ashlee Apodaca used her iPod during lunch last week to listen to her AP government teacher’s review session. ‘If you miss something, you could just replay it back as many times you need to’, she said. College campuses are using software that synchronizes digital recordings of lectures with visual aids, so students can replay them on computers or download them into iPods, other MP3 players and cell phones. The technology enables students to review instruction in preparation for exams, clarify confusing concepts and make up for missed classes. Students say it allows them to focus less on note-taking. At USD, the technology enables military students in one graduate program to continue their studies after deployment to Iraq. At California state university San Marcos, some professors use it so students can replay complicated material until it sticks.
“Is modern life ravaging our immune system?”
►I read today in the newspaper was that the food is affecting on our immune system in a bad way because scientists are making studies on the allergies, also that hay fever, eczema, asthma and food allergies they all are JUSTIFIED as ‘allergic diseases. Also they believe that they have a profound symbiotic effect on developing and maintaining the immune system.
►I agree on this Scientifics can help us.
►I also agree because they can INDICATE us what to eat and what not to.
►I agree because they would save some peoples lives.
►I think the most interesting fact is that the immune system is ESTABLISHING in a wrong way.
♥ The article I read about this morning was INDICATED to teenage drivers. The study found that car crash deaths for passengers aged 8 to 17 were the 3 biggest risk factors. Even though teenage drivers have higher chances of dying, the study researched for 6 years the study focused on about 10,000 children that were killed in car crashes. Out of those 10,000 children that were killed 54% o them were in a car with a teenager. Teenagers younger than 16 seem to be the most dangerous. More than three quarters of those fatal crashes were ESTABLISHED to be on roads with speed limits higher than 45 mph. The researchers also JUSTIFIED that 2/3 of those teenagers were not wearing a seat belt. Another good reason why some of these teenage passengers have been in crashes or in any dangerous situation in a car was because they were in a car with a drunk driver.
♥ My opinion about these teenage drivers is not surprised at all. I have heard about a lot of people that drink and then drive. Teenagers now and days need to stop drinking especially if they end up driving.
♥ An interesting fact that I read about in this article was that most teenagers think they’re in this little bubble where they can’t get hurt and they don’t think about the consequences.
The article I read is about teen drivers that cannot drive and is leading to death. Most teens don’t buckle up and new teen drivers on high-speed roads they INDICATED that those were the biggest risk factors contributing to car crash deaths for passengers 8 to 17 is the study found. Young drivers have higher chances of dying nearly 10,000 child passengers who were killed in a car crash half of them were killed riding with a teen age drivers. Drivers younger than 16 are the most dangerous. The INDICATED that younger passengers that have been drinking alcohol.
my reflection is they should not give license to drivers under 16 because they cannot handle the way other drivers drive.
My opinion is that teen drivers need to be more careful because they have other life's in their car and around them.
BAseball players
Greg Vaughn's son is looking like his father this year in baseball at San Diego state. Tony Gwyn states that his son has ESTABLISHED so much this year as a baseball player. His son INDICATES that he might be going pro this year instead of next year. His father Greg Vaughn sees no JUSTIFIED reason why he should go pro this year he thinks he should finish out this year and then go pro. But like every kid they need to make there own mistakes before making the right decision. Cory plays outfielder who is quite fast his stealing base ratio is higher then his batting average but his batting average is pretty good for being in college.
I think that this young man has a lot to look up to considering the factr that his father holds the single season home run record in the padres archives.

Article; “Coach Arrested in Sex Case”
Summary; This morning’s blog is based on a sex case I read about. The coach of a North County was traveling with his girls’ softball team was arrested. He was arrested on suspicion of ESTABLiSHiNG a sexual relationship with one of the players on his team. The player happens to be 17 years old. The coach’s name is Christopher Facione and he is being charged with two counts. Both happen to be felony counts too, for having unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor. The story so far is that the two had sexual intercourse twice at his Carlsbad home. The only way this all got out was because they had text messaged each other. There were messages saying that she might have contracted a sexual disease. He assured her that he had gotten checked regularly. There were also messages saying he missed her and that asking to take her out to dinner. A warrant for his arrest was issued on February 20 and records show that he was arrested on Thursday.
Reflection; These situations make me sick because I doubt he raped her. She should be considered an adult because I’m sure she wanted it. I know it sounds bad but young girls can be scandalous and I doubt it was only his idea. I do agree with the law, I think he deserve to be locked up but still, I don’t think the girl is innocent either. She also played a major ROLE.
Interesting Fact; It is the policy of the San Diego Union Tribune not to iDENTiFY possible victims of sexual abuse.
TEEN DRIVING RISK SHOWN TO BE RISKY COMBINATION...
The article i read today was about how teens driving teens is getting very risky. It has been ESTABLISHED that more accidents are caused by teens then adults. In Chicago car accidents are the most leading deaths leading the cause of teens. Studies have shown that 10,000 passengers have died from ages 8 to 17. More than half of those kids were riding with a teen driving. It has also been JUSTIFIED that teens under 16 were the most dangerous. Most of the crashes also occur on roads where the speed limit is 45 mph. Most of the kids that die are not wearing seatbelts.
Reflection- I think that it is sad that kids are dying so much from car accidents. Its really no ones fault except for the young kids taking out the car. The parents can take some responsibility for it to because they should keep there keys where there kids cant find it. Although the kids that do have driver license is sad because things do happen.
Interesting Fact- An interesting fact about this article is that it has been INDICATED that 10,000 teen deaths have occurred so far.
The article I just read was about how teen driving could be risky. In Chicago car crashes are the leading causes of death for teens and younger children. It indicates that nearly 10,000 child passengers were killed in a car crash and more than half 54 percent were with teen drivers. The risk of death for children with drivers 16 to 19 at least doubled with those who rode with 25 and older. The percentage of 16 years old with a drivers licenses has fallen since ’98 when restrictions on teen driving generally increased. To have a permit you have to be 15 and a half to have a permit and rivers should at least be 16 with a license. Rosie Jermakian said the study results hit home because one of those crashes involved her friend. Then she says teen drivers don’t always think and sometimes they think they're in this bubble where they cant get hurt.
I think that its alright to have teen drivers. If the person passed the course they cant be that dangerous on the road. And I am a teen driver and that doesn't mean i cant drive its just that people need to pay attention to driving instead of trying to do everything while they drive
I really didn’t learn nothing from this article.
Today I read that asthma cases shot up, along with hay fever and other common allergic reactions, such as eczema. Then pediatricians started seeing more children with food allergies. Now experts are increasingly convinced that a suspected jump in lupus, multiple sclerosis and other afflictions caused by misfiring immune system is real. The ESTABLISHED data are stronger for some diseases than others, and part of the increase may reflect better diagnoses, experts JUSTIFY that many allergies and immune-system diseases have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled in the past few decades, depending on the aliment and the country. Some studies no INDICATE that more than half of the U.S. population has at least one allergy, That’s a interesting fact that I learned. This is scary because we are all going to die of a sickness and that’s how the world is going to end.
RAMOS-
Union Tribune: Choking accusations bogus, suspended soccer coach says.
Today I have read an article on a Coach that apparently choked a minor. San Ysidro High School’s suspended soccer coach said that he was falsely accused of choking an Otay Ranch High player during a game last week. Eduardo Jimenez said that any contact with the player was the result of a split second decision to prevent a fight. Jimenez was taken off the filed at Otay Ranch High in handcuffs Friday and held in jail until Tuesday. He was released without being charged. Chula Vista Police are still investigating the incident. It all started because a player from Otay Ranch kicked two of his players and they were going to start fighting. He got in between them to avoid the fight. He said that he did not choke, push or grab the student. A student said that his coach did not do anything, he only put his hand on the boys chest to keep them apart. Well I think that they should let this incident go because it is ridiculous. I think that even if he had been choking the boy he deserved it for messing around and starting some drama.
