Article; "Gift Cards Carry Risk"
Summary; This morning's blog is based on the article I read on gift cards. It talked about how the gift cards that the Shaper Image company ESTABLiSHED could now be worthless. And they might not be the only ones. Other gift cards could be losing their value as well. As more retailers file for bankrupcy or go out of business, more than $75 million in gift cards are at risk of becoming wothless pieces of plastic this year. The Shaper image announced late last month that it was suspending the acceptance of gift cards, at least temporarily. It urged shoppers to check the company web site this month for an update. For many shoppers, it's a harsh lesson about the risks of gift cards. Consumers spent an estimated amount of $26.3 billion in gift cards at retailers last holdiday season in 2006, iNDiCATED the National Retail Federation. The number of retail bankrupcies or liquidations this year is expected to reach the highest levels since the 1991 recession.
Reflection; This must really suck for the people who spent money on gift cards recently. I hope that they figure out how to JUSTiFY reinverse everyone who bought gift cards.
Interesting fact; $18.48 billion was spent on gift cards in 2005.
The article I read today is about how Kids in the mountain empire school district have had a lot of free time due to the heavy winds that hit 60 mph in the east county area. Ninety percent of the school district went to school they INDICATED that about 1,500 arrived. Yesterday winds were too strong for tall vehicles including buses they ESTABLISHED until the winds calm down they will send the kids back to school.
I think the students are lucky they don’t got to go to school jus because heavy winds.
I JUSTIFIED Its probably nerve-racking to the bus drivers and truck drivers
Today in the union tribune, it INDICATED that this year’s weather has meant the kids in the mountain empire school district have ESTABLISHED a lot free time on their hands. And when winds hit 60 mph in the east county early yesterday morning, the students had cause to rejoice- again. Ninety percent of the schools district’s 1,500 students arrive via school bus at eight far-flung schools, which stretch from Descanso northwest of alpine to potrero and jucumba near the Mexican boarder. yesterday’s winds were too strong for tall vehicles, including buses, to travel safely, so the kids got to stay home.
I think it should JUSTIFIED that we don’t have that kind of wind so we wouldn’t come to school either
A Nevada clinic has been closed down after health department linked six different patients that had contracted hepatitis C and they had all been treated at the clinic. Health officials are trying to contact the 40,000 that had been treated at the clinic with some type of needle to urge them to get tested for HIV, hepatitis C and hepatitis B. The patients are trying to be reached because it is crucial for them to know if they got infected. The Las Vegas clinic got closed down after health officials ESTABLISHED that six patients had contracted hepatitis from this clinic. After investigating the case officials discovered that the staff was reusing syringes and vials. The health department is calling the incident the biggest breach of public trust in state history. More than 40,00 people can be infected and of those 40,000 there is 1,400 that they cannot contact because their addresses are wrong. State health officials are not sure they can INDICATE how many patients they have been able and will be able to contact for sure. Although this is not the first time that patients have contracted a disease from blood exposure, this cannot JUSTIFY it. I know for sure that this will not be the last time something like this would happens, but, I believe that if clinics and other health department places are working with things that are dangerous and become a threat fast then they should be more careful in the way they handle this things.
REVIEWING FOR A TEST COULD BE JUST A CLICK AWAY ON YOUR IPOD...
The article I read today INDICATED that you can review for a test on an iPod. This is a good idea for students who space out during a class lecture. Kids can now take what there teacher said and transfer it onto there device. Now a days with high technology chalkboards are used as touch computers. They can record a teachers every word. These can be transferred to iPods mp3’s and some cell phones. Most of the kids like this idea a lot because it gives them allot of time to focus on other things. This also benefits them because the teacher wont have to repeat himself.
Reflection- I think the idea is good because it saves a lot of time. It has been ESTABLISHED that many kids agree with the idea, so that means the idea is legit. It has also been JUSTIFIED that this way is good for kids that have problems with spacing off.
Interesting Fact- An interesting fact about this article is that there are touch chalkboards now a days!
“Prices soar on inflation worries”
►I read today in the something in the newspaper today, and that INDICATED that street investors and speculators drove the price of food, oil, and raw materials into record territory yesterday, signaling higher prices for costumers and business in the near future. Also, consumers are paying close to all-time highs for gasoline, but those prices will likely go up even more with level of near $104 per barrel before closing at $102.45. also in volatile trading yesterday, gold futures soared toward $1,000 per ounce. Platinum hit a record of $102,247 per copper, tin and aluminum climbed sharply, as did food commodities such as wheat, corn and coffee.
►I don’t agree because the ones that are JUSTIFY to pay this prices are us.
►I also don’t agree because then we wont be able to afford nothing.
►And I don’t agree because we could go to inflation.
►I think the most interesting fact is that the government knows already when something is going to ESTABLISH.
I read today that yesterday on march 4,2008 there was a shooting in Tijuana Mexico. I think the shooting was by the troops and some ice members. It says that it was a battle between soldiers against soldiers they just don’t know why was the cause they did it . I also know that a day before there was another shooting in Colonia Villa Floresta just one block away from each other . The block that all this is happening is at Jicama st and there were also some kidnapping just across the street last Friday and yesterday. They had some witnesses saying that its really bad down in T.J they can’t even go to school because its dangerous.
While the battle there was a man killed the detectives are not sure I either if he was a part of it or either if he was the victim. They did arrested 2 guys and they had confessed that they were apart of a kidnapping that had occurred couple of days ago.
I think in my own opinion that all this is bad, T.J is dangerous and that’s sad that people that live there can’t even live there own life because they have to be scared of being kidnapped ,killed or even shot at. Mexico doesn’t deserve that but is just that those kind of people mess it all up for all of them.I also say that every body has the right to live in peace but if the president of Mexico don’t do nothing then what can he offer them as for security?. The main idea that I got out of this is that pepople shouldn’t go T.J clubbing for my own good because there not safe being over there .
♥ The article I read about this morning was INDICATED on a shooting that went on in Tijuana, Mexico. The shooting happened on Monday March 3, 2008. A gunbattle was ESTABLISHED between the federal troops and members of a suspected kidnapping. The battle went on for about 7 hours. It started on late Sunday and ended Early Monday. Soldiers found a dead person that died during the gunbattle. Well at least that’s what they are JUSTIFYING for now. The shooting all started when a suspect that was inside the house started shooting at the soldiers out side.
♥ My reflection is that I feel sorry for all the residents in Tijuana right now. Its actually a good thing that the Mexican authorities are staring to do things about their criminals. Lets just say that I’m scared to go to Tijuana and I don’t plan on going for a long while.
♥ An interesting fact that I read about in the article was that the confrontation was the second extended shootout this year in a residential neighborhood in Tijuana.
The article I read today was about how Venezuela and Ecuador escalated a crisis with Colombia. On Saturday the Colombian commando raid killed top rebel Raul Reyes and that had made the Ecuadorean President Rafeal Correa and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez mad. The two countries established that they would have mobilized troops toward their border with Colombia. Correa said that the Colombian strike had messed up the plan to free the hostages held by leftist Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia or FARC. It was indicated that talks were very advance for the release of 12 hostages on Ecuadorean soil. A statement on a pro-rebel Web site said that the release of 4 hostages that day was the last until the Colombian government removes troops from the towns of Pradera and Florida in western Colombia for 45 days. Colombia’s attack killed Reyes along with 21 other guerrillas. In Caracas the Venezuelan foreign Ministry said that the government has decided to immediate expulsion ot the ambassador of the republic of Colombia.
I think that since Colombia did that they messed it up with the other countries. And that the should have never did that raid. I think since they did that they just messed it up for them.
I didn’t learn nothing.
Today I read that city officials say National City may be part of an ESTABLISHED buffer zone plan to separate marine-industrial businesses from neighborhoods. The zone will stretch from the Port District’s 10th Avenue Marine Terminal in downtown San Diego to its 24th street Terminal in National City and serve as a guide for future development. Last week National City Mayor Ron Morrison INDICATES the terms were unacceptable to his city. An alliance of waterfront industrial businesses and the environmental Health Coalition met with Morrison and other National City officials to JUSTIFY their differences. One interesting fact I learned was that they will start doing the plan next month.

Union Tribune: U.S. gasoline prices headed higher, government warns
Today I have read and article on how gasoline prices will just keep going up. Drivers will pay much more for gasoline on spring and summer because of more expensive crude oil. They price of gas will rise even thought supplies are plentiful and the demand for it is lower. The price of crude oil which accounts for two thirds the cost of gasoline, hit a record of $102 a barrel this week. Up sharply from $60 last year. They are thinking that the price for gas will be $3.40 by spring. They also said that prices might fall throughout 2008 but not enough so consumer can save that much. U.S gasoline prices raised 17 cents in the last two weeks, to a national average of $3.10 a gallon, even though gasoline demands during the last four weeks have dropped a 1.1 percent. I think that this is crazy how much gas is. I drive my boyfriend’s car and I see how much he spends to fill up the gas. It’s a lot of money. I think that the prices are ridiculous and they should drop.
