Yesterday at the super bowl Unlike the Patriots last night, Fox Sports was at its best in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLII.
Which only makes sense. If a network is doing its job, it looks better as the game gets better.
: I know I'm a sucker for anything involving the Clydesdales, but how could you not like this “Rocky”-inspired spot? COKE: Two excellent ads in the fourth quarter, one with Underdog and Stewie from “Family Guy” losing a balloon bottle to Charlie Brown, and the other with Bill Frist and James Carville sightseeing together in Washington, D.C. FEDEX: With steroid-addled pigeons unable to handle the heavy shipping, a company decides maybe it'd be better to use FedEx. AUDI: A great takeoff on the horse-head scene from “The Godfather,” complete with the actor (Alex Rocca) who played Moe Green in the movie. NFL: The story of two former San Diego State players “kind of” making it to the Super Bowl was a winner. E-TRADE: A talking baby is nothing special, except when he says he “really understated the creepiness” of the

Today in the union tribune, I read that Sen. Barack Obama and Hilary Rodham Clinton have unleashed advertisements in nearly all the more than 20 states that have democratic presidential nominating contests Tuesday, a combined $19 million expenditure that is the most ambitious and geographically expensive television effort in a presidential primary. On the republican side, Sen. John McCain and Mitt Romney have a far more restrained ad effort that started this weekend and is focusing on a handful of states and national cable television. Faced with the challenge of getting their messages out to nearly half the country for a single day of voting, the candidates are taking airwaves in a concentrated burst of advertising that in many cases is focused on specific concerns of different parts of the country.

Power problems keep parts of school cold and dark

Rosa Parks Elementary School in City Heights has really big problems. They hve been struggling with getting enough light and heat to some of their classrooms. They have had this problem for at least a week now. During the weekend they have hired electricians to repair the problem. They are hoping to fix the problem so that on Monday when they return, everything can go back to normal. Electrical problems were first reported on Jan 24. Out of the 50 classrooms in Rosa Parks Elementary, 24 of the classes have been affected. After they tried fixing the problem, other things kept breaking down.
I think that no school should have to go through that. All of this happened because it is a very old school. I hope that by today every is back to normal.
Because that school is in City Heights, no one really cares. If that would of happened to a white school like in Poway, the problem would have been solved real quick.

Article: Candidates race through Northeast, South in final campaign push in hours before Super Tuesday

Summary: The article I read today was that the candidates race through Northeast, South in final campaign push in hours before Super Tuesday. Mitt Romney argued Monday that he was the real conservative in the Republican race with John McCain as he kicked off a 36-hour sprint to Super Tuesday. Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton, locked in a tight contest, searched for support in the delegate-rich Northeast. The former Massachusetts governor told voters in a series of coast-to-coast stops that hardcore Republicans were telling him, “We don't want Senator McCain; we want a conservative.” McCain leads Romney in national polls and has seized the momentum and major endorsements after two straight wins in South Carolina and Florida. Yet, some conservatives are uneasy with the four-term Arizona senator who has backed a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, campaign finance reform and opposed President Bush's tax cuts although he now wants to make them permanent.

Reflection: The Vietnam veteran and longtime member of the Senate Armed Services Committee has contended that his rival lacks the foreign policy and military affairs experience needed as the country battles Islamic terrorists.

Interesting fact: McCain has cast Romney as a flip-flopper on key issues.

The article I read today was about how the presidential candidate did on there visits to other states. Candidate McCain had received a warm welcome from his voters in Atlanta. Barrack Obama was in Minneapolis shaking hands with his supporters and troops. Republican candidate Mitt Romney and his wife was at the leader of his churches funeral. Hilary Clinton was pumping and rallying supporters up for the presidential primary. In the poll Mitt Romney had fell behind. Hilary Clinton’s lead is increasing. Barrack Obama is right behind Clinton by two points.
Reflection- I think that this election is going to be the most interesting because the two candidate that are in the lead are the two types of people that have never been voted for. If Hilary Clinton gets voted for then she will be the first female president. If Barrack Obama wins he will become the first male with African American in him.
Interesting fact- An interesting fact about this article is that the two minorities are in the lead by a far amount of percent.

Source; San Diego Union Tribune
Article; “Going downtown for housing”
Summary; This morning’s blog is based on the article on the agency’s effort helping to meet demand for low-cost rentals. The article focused on a specific woman who is currently on a waiting list for a low-cost rental apartment. Her name is Kaynisha Dawson and she was paying $800 a month for a condo in Escondido. The condo was a one bedroom place, and was also very small in size. What made things worse is that she has a baby girl and she says they barely fit in the condo. She is a mother, part time student, and works through a temp agency. The new apartment she is eyeing is located in Downtown San Diego and is roughly $600 a month, due to her monthly income of $1,300. Not to mention, the apartment is a two bedroom place. She says she is very happy to have found such a good opportunity because she will no longer have to work paycheck to paycheck to pay rent. It would really help her, she says.
Reflection; I’m glad that this woman and her baby girl are given these kind of opportunities. Just by reading the article and reading her quotes, I know she is very grateful. I just hope that apartments all over start lowering the prices of rent because I would like to move out as well.
Interesting Fact; Living downtown is not cheap; a regular studio apartment runs about $1,4000 a month.

♥ The article I read about this morning was about a lady who is being charged of manslaughter. The woman was only 17 at the time of the accident. She was going at 100 mph on a street in L.A.. She then pursued her ex boyfriends girlfriend to run a red light. The woman that was pursued to run the red lights name was Shayla Phillips. When Shayla ran the red light she crashed into a bus and two cars. She injured 4 people and killed herself. Now the ex girl friend who's name is Lakaysha Redd is being convicted and charged with manslaughter.
♥ I think that what this girl did is crazy. Its so difficult to have to put up with your ex boyfriends new girl friend but girls just have to except it. As I can see this girl did not put up with it but she’s getting payback for it.
♥ An interesting fact that I read in this article was that she was being charged with manslaughter at 18 years of age.

“Spent nuclear fuel storages raises concerns”
►What I read in the newspapers today was that the spent of nuclear fuel raises, I didn’t know that this would happen someday. Also set into a man-made bluff rising 320 feet above the Pacific Ocean stand eight steel cylinders, each as wide as your standards dining room and as tall as three large men. What I also read about this article was that what pacific Gas & Electric Co. sees in these concrete-block-mounted containers is a secure storage for the highly radioactive spent fuel now filling up the cooling pools at its Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant.
►I don’t agree because the people its right.
►I also don’t agree because, how could they put “Radioactive Fuel” on some tanks that if the tanks brake all will go to the sea?
►I don’t agree because they could do a lot of damage to the sea animals.
►I think the most interesting fact its that this Energy and Gas factories may cause the extinction of some animals one they water.

Union Tribune: Manning –Tyree fever was catching.
Today I have read an article on the Giants win on Sundays Super Bowl. Eli Manning the quarterback for the Giants still cant believe what happened. With 59 seconds to go and all of their time outs they managed to make an amazing touchdown. At one point it seemed like the Patriots were going to sack Manning. They had him surrounded but incredibly Manning managed to get out and throw the ball to make a catch. After that it was just a miracle. Then they had 35 seconds to go. They made a beautiful touch down and they won the game. I watched this game it was so exiting because it was so close. I am glad the Giants won because I don’t go for them but I did not want the Patriots to win.

Fight between cops

Two police officers were in a altercation with each other. The cause of the fight is unknown as of now. Both officers have been hospitalized after the wounds they both have suffered. It seems the officer from the north county was the person who started the fight. The officer from north county was in regular civilian clothes, when the other officer tried to stop him for a DUI the conversation escalade into a fight. The only witness to the crime was a women that the officer was having a affair with and the homeless man across the street that was on looker.

I think that if people have to watch for police officers fighting, then they need to watch out because a crime just occurred while all of that foolishness was happening.
